You will be given access appropriate to your role and your organisation’s access rules. Currently, there are five user roles available in EM-COP.
Read only - This user role will be used by the majority of users to gain situational awareness. This role provides view only access to incidents and collaboration rooms. Users will be able to quickly calculate distance and area.
Read / Write - This user role will be used by personnel who require full collaboration access to an incident(s). This user role can add content (write) into collaboration rooms, such as drawing lines, shapes, or adding icons.
Public Information (Public Publisher role) - This role is for accredited personnel who will use EM-COP to create Community Notifications for an EM-COP incident. This user role has the same access as the Read/Write role with additional access to create notifications.
GIS User - This role is for personnel assigned to upload data layers, as appropriate, for a specific incident as well as general use. This user role has the same access as the Read/Write role with additional access to upload data. NOTE: eMap will still be used by mappers to produce high quality maps.
Organisation Administrator - Each registered organisation in EM-COP will be required to appoint at least one Organisation Administrator. This user role has the responsibility of maintaining EM-COP users, such as enabling, disabling and deleting users. Organisation Administrator can allocate user role types as well as archive incidents. This user role has the same access as the Read/Write role with additional access to manage users.
