Why the change from warnings to community notifications?

As part of the shift to EM-COP Public Publishing there has been a change in terminology from warnings to community notifications. This change has occurred because 'community notification' better encompasses the range of information that we publish to the community. This also future proofs EM-COP as we develop more functionality that allows us to publish different types of notifications (examples might be planned burning notifications or major incident/recovery pages).

There are three levels of warnings that can be issued. 

Community Notifications are: 

Community notification includes warnings and other forms of notification such as Evacuation Notifications and Community Information notifications (newsletters or incident notifications).
