We suggest you open your primary EM-Webmail account from the icon on the Operations page of the EM-COP Desktop, or via the information page at:
https://files-em.em.vic.gov.au/public/EM-Webmail-O365.htm.
If you use a web browser to monitor your agency email, we suggest you use Microsoft Edge for your agency email and Chrome for EM-COP and EM-Webmail.
If you need to open additional mail accounts in the same browser or you can't stop your agency email from opening, you can use Incognito or Private browser windows. This allows you to reach the Microsoft Login page and log in each additional account independently.
Using an incognito or private window
Open the private window (see below) then use this address:
https://outlook.office.com/mail/
to go straight to the Outlook mailbox via the Office 365 Login Page.
The details for opening private windows on various browsers are shown below. Mobile device users should download and use the Outlook 2016 app - please see here. Details for opening private windows on mobile devices are shown below only for completeness.
Open a private browser window
In a Chrome window, click the Settings (three vertical dots) icon in the top right corner and select New incognito window. You can also use Ctrl-Shift-N on the keyboard.
In a Microsoft Edge window, click the Settings (three horizontal dots) icon in the top right corner and select New inPrivate window. You can also use Ctrl-Shift-P on the keyboard.
In Internet Explorer, use Ctrl-Shift-P on the keyboard to enable Private browsing mode.
In a Firefox window, click the Settings (three horizontal lines) icon in the top right corner and select New Private window. You can also use Ctrl-Shift-P on the keyboard.
In an Apple Safari window on an iPhone or iPad, tap the Tabs (two overlayed squares) icon in the top right corner and select Private.
In an Android browser window (phone or tablet), tap the Tabs (two overlayed squares) icon in the bottom menu bar and select Turn on Secret mode.
Please note:
The Outlook web client does have an option to Open another mailbox. This only works for a mailbox that has been specifically shared with your account. None of the EM-Webmail accounts are shared so this option will not work.
