The platform EM Learning is designed to operate on the following web browsers running on desktop computers:
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Safari (on Apple computers only)
Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Chrome and Safari follow a continuous release policy that makes it difficult to fix a minimum version. For this reason, following the market recommendation EM Learning supports the last 2 major versions of each of these browsers. Please note that as of January 2018, EM Learning does not support Safari on Windows.
Check your Setup
On the homepage for EM Learning at the footer of the page there is a handy weblink to check if your web browser meets the minimum standards to use this platform. It will open a new website and check some basic settings and report back what is good or bad.
Internet Explorer 11:
As of January 2020, EM Learning no longer supports Microsoft Internet Explorer. We strongly encourage you to move to one of our other supported browsers.
Windows XP
Windows XP is no longer supported by its original vendor, Microsoft, but if your organization has internal policies that have extended the use of Windows XP, EM Learning recommends that your PCs be migrated to MS Windows 8 or above at your earliest convenience. Although we are not in a position to guarantee the service on a no longer operational operating system, EM Learning still has some learners running Windows XP. If you are unable to upgrade your PCs at this time, we recommend installing the latest version of Google Chrome, as a temporary solution.
