You can create calendar events in EM-COP Calendars and add links to files such as meeting papers or seminar programs so that users can easily access them. To add a file to the event, you simply add a link to the file in the Calendar Description box. Files can be added as separate links or as a single ZIP file.
To start, you need to have a valid link to the file. For files on the EM-COP Document Store, go to the relevant menu and right click the download link then select "Copy link address" to copy to the clipboard. This will also work for links on external web pages. If you are viewing the file on a web page (eg. a pdf file), copy the link from the address bar of the browser.
Go to the Calendar and open the meeting entry. Click in the Description box then click the button in the Description menu bar to insert the link as shown in the screenshot below.
Type a label into the TEXT TO DISPLAY box then paste the link into the URL box and optionally into the Title box. The text in the Title box is displayed when a user hovers over the link.
Click OK to set the link then save the Calendar entry. Click the link in the description to test that it retrieves the correct file.
