Map control can be achieved through a variety of methods and one way is to use the zoom and pan controls on the left hand side of the map view.
The buttons work as follows:

The number shows the zoom extent. This can help others to set their view to match your view (level 3-20) |
Clicking on the magnifying glass icons will zoom you in and out of the centre of your view. Double clicking on a location or using your scroll wheel will zoom the map inand out centered on your mouse.
Alternatively, you can use the zoom box tool to zoom into a selected area.
Users can pan across the map by using the navigation arrows for up, down, left, and right on the upper
left corner of the map. Alternatively you can click and drag the map when using the Drag/Hand tool.
In the Map Position Sync window, you can allow other users to move your map, or move others to your current location (or view).
