Update a published notification

There are two options to update a published notification. You can either choose to 'Update' the notification or you can choose to 'Update with New Template' to change the notification level (upgrades or downgrades).

Update a published notification

  1. Click on the published notification polygon to open the pop up. 
  2. Select the 'Update' button. This unlocks the notification and opens the notification creation workflow. 
  3. Once in the workflow review and update, where necessary, the notification. 
  4. Publish the notification. When you publish the updated notification the first notification is automatically unpublished. 

Update with a New Template

  1.  Click on the published notification polygon to open the pop up. 
  2. Select the 'Update with New Template' button. This unlocks the notification and allows you to choose a new notification level. Note that the contents of your notification will be cleared when you change the notification level. If there is content that you want to include in the new notification you can copy and paste it from the Vic Emergency website.
  3. Complete the notification workflow as usual. When you publish the updated notification the first notification is automatically unpublished.
