When does the polygon colour change?

The polygon will automatically become the appropriate colour once you have started to draft a notification. This occurs at the beginning of the community notification workflow once you have selected and submitted the template you are going to use. 

The appropriate colour to match the notification level is Advice – yellow, Warning (Watch & Act) – orange, Emergency Warning – red, Recommendation to Evacuate - black.
