Which web browser should I use?

The recommended browser for using EM-COP is Google Chrome. Other browsers such as Firefox and Edge can also be utilised. However, Internet Explorer 11 is not supported and should only be used if there is no immediate alternative. Make sure you contact your IT department to have Chrome or Firefox installed as soon as possible

If you are using EM-COP to issue Community Notifications (i.e. as a Public Publisher), you must use Google Chrome.

Where possible, ensure your browser is updated to the latest version.

 

Please note: The latest update to Google Chrome can produce very slow response when used to access EM-COP on a computer with 4GB RAM. This is a typical RAM size in many computers.  

 

If you experience this issue, we suggest you use Firefox. Firefox uses less RAM compared to Chrome and will often resolve the problem.  If you can't change browsers, try to limit the number of open tabs and other applications you are using. If you are able to, increasing the amount of RAM in your computer (eg 8GB) is the best solution.
